![]() ![]() ![]() Set two saw Clarion-Goldfield-Dows show some more energy, as the Cowgirls battled back-and-forth with the Lynx. The Lynx were able to close out set 1 by a score of 25-17. Webster City took charge right away in set 1, extending it’s lead to 16-7 at one point, before Clarion-Goldfield-Dows brought the score closer. The Lynx had not won a set, let alone a match with Cowgirls since 2016, and Jess Howard’s squad was determined to change that from the get go. Thursday night was a huge night for a pair of volleyball teams in the KQ-listening area, as the Webster City Lynx, off to a 7-1 start to the season, traveled north to take on defending conference champion Clarion-Goldfield-Dows.
